After extracting you will be able to see these kind of files:<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 3<\/b>:\u00a0<b>Power Off<\/b>\u00a0your Samsung Device.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 4<\/b>: Now, you have to boot into Download mode. To boot into Download Mode: Press and Hold\u00a0<b>Volume Down<\/b>\u00a0Key,\u00a0<b>Home<\/b>\u00a0Key and\u00a0<b>Power<\/b>\u00a0Key. When phone vibrates\u00a0<b>Leave<\/b>\u00a0the\u00a0<b>Power Key<\/b>\u00a0but Keep holding the\u00a0<b>Volume Down<\/b>\u00a0Key and\u00a0<b>Home<\/b>\u00a0key. You will boot into the Download Mode.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 5<\/b>: In the Download mode you will be able to see a\u00a0<b>Warning Yellow Triangle<\/b>\u00a0Sign. In this situation you have to press the\u00a0<b>Volume up<\/b>\u00a0key to continue.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 6<\/b>:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mobilefirmware4u.blogspot.de\/2017\/11\/download-odin-tool-all-versions-for.html\" class=\"broken_link\">Download<\/a>\u00a0and extract Odin on your computer. After extracting you will be able to see the following files:<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 7<\/b>: Now,\u00a0<b>Open Odin3<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>connect your phone<\/b>\u00a0to the computer.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 8<\/b>: Once you have connected the phone to the computer, Odin will automatically recognize the device and show \u201c<b>Added<\/b>\u201d message at the lower-left panel.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 9<\/b>: Once your device detected by Odin, click on the \u201c<b>PDA<\/b>\u201d button and select the\u00a0<b>tar.md5<\/b>\u00a0file that you have extracted in\u00a0<b>Step #2<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 10<\/b>: Now, click on the \u201c<b>Start<\/b>\u201d button in Odin to begin the Flashing process.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 11<\/b>: Once you see, the\u00a0<b>Green Pass Message<\/b>\u00a0then remove the USB cable from the device (during this process, your device will restart automatically).<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 12<\/b>: Your Samsung Device will now stuck at boot (boot loop). Now, You have to\u00a0<b>boot into Stock Recovery<\/b>\u00a0Mode, To\u00a0<b>Enable Stock Recovery mode<\/b>: Press and Hold\u00a0<b>Volume UP<\/b>\u00a0key,\u00a0<b>Home<\/b>\u00a0Key,\u00a0<b>Power<\/b>\u00a0Key. When phone vibrates\u00a0<b>Leave<\/b>\u00a0the\u00a0<b>Power<\/b>\u00a0Key but Keep holding the\u00a0<b>Volume UP<\/b>\u00a0Key and\u00a0<b>Home<\/b>\u00a0key. Rukbat updated the screenshots of Odin and the references to the button name PDA \u2013 it\u2019s now called AP. (If you\u2019ve never used Odin before you have enough to worry about without having to wonder why there\u2019s no PDA button on yours.)[\/NOTE]<\/p>\n<p>In the event you think your stock ROM is faulty, or you want to flash back to a previous version on your Samsung device, here is how.<\/p>\n<p>[INFO]This is for Samsung devices, and a general guide at that. Some carriers may have more detailed steps that need to be taken. I cannot guarantee how well this will work for every device.[\/INFO]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>[NOTE]The things you will need:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2013 Download and install ODIN<br \/>\n\u2013 A program called 7Zip<br \/>\n\u2013 A copy of your stock ROM in question.[\/NOTE]<\/p>\n<p>[WARN] Odin Version 3.10 may be controversial. Some people have reported malware with the download. Stick to Version 3.09 for now. See this site for the latest version when you\u2019re downloading Odin.[\/WARN]<\/p>\n<p>[NOTE]I\u2019ve since found a link to a known working version 3.10 (posted by a trusted XDA developer) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidfilehost.com\/?fid=23622183712465432\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Odin<\/a>[\/NOTE]<\/p>\n<p>[note]There\u2019s a newer version available now, 3.10.6. Minor changes, but it pays to keep up with the latest, in case a newer phone doesn\u2019t work with an older version of Odin.[\/note]<\/p>\n<p>[Note]Just to keep things updated, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.droidviews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Odin3_v3.12.5.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Version 12.5<\/a> is out.[\/Note]<\/p>\n<p>Odin is a program that can utilize the MD5 file to install ROMs to your device. MD5 files can be anything from recoveries, modems, and even ROMs.<\/p>\n<p>First, one of the things that may need to be done is to update your device drivers. You can do this one of two ways.<br \/>\n-You can search the net for your updated drivers. Download and then install to your PC.<br \/>\n-Or you can download or update Kies. Part of those processes are to install or update drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Once drivers are installed, a restart of your PC may be required. In fact, I would highly suggest it.<\/p>\n<p>Second, is downloading and installing 7Zip. 7Zip is a file extraction program, that unzips compressed files. Windows has a file compression and decompression program as well. Depending on where you get your file from, having both is handy in case one works and the other does not.<\/p>\n<p>Third, Your copy of your stock ROM. This will be the compressed file you downloaded. You will need to extract it. The best thing to do is create a file on your desktop. This will make the extracted file easier to find. Once created, you can right click on the downloaded file and click Extract. Either program will ask where to extract to. Click on the small box with the 3 dots and navigate to your desktop and locate your newly created file.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you will need to download and install ODIN.<br \/>\n[TIP]Once done, you should start it by right clicking and \u2018Open as Administrator\u2019. This option works best for using ODIN in general.[\/TIP]<\/p>\n<p><i>This is ODIN just after the program has been launched.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The MD5 file would go into the AP box. Sounds weird, I agree, but the AP box will be your best friend. You don\u2019t need to worry about any other Boxes.<\/p>\n<p><i>This is the AP box that will be needed to flash any file.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Once the file is in the box, you would now need to turn off your device, and reboot into Download Mode by holding volume Down and power (If using the Galaxy S3, S4, Note 3 or Note 4, Home will also have to be held).<\/p>\n<p><i>This is the first step to getting to Download Mode.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Press Volume Up to proceed to the actual Download Mode.<\/p>\n<p><i>This is what Download Mode actually looks like.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Once in Download Mode, you can plug in your device. You will need to wait several minutes, as ODIN, your PC, and the device all talk to each other.<br \/>\nAfter some time has passed, upward of several minutes, you should see a box that is colored and has a type, and a number: Ex: \u2018COM:3\u2019 That means your PC recognizes the device and everything should be ready to go. The number is irrelevant. (It will depend on which USB port on your computer you plugged the device cable into.)<\/p>\n<p><i>There will be a COM port indicated in Odin, and the MD5 file will be in the AP box. Now, to begin, just click the Start button in Odin.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>[WARN]At this point, DO NOT remove your device until ODIN says finished, or if something goes wrong, it will say failed.[\/WARN]<\/p>\n<p>When ODIN is done, you should see a box that will say reset or passed (depending on which version you have, you may see either or both.).
