Instructions for using Odin to flash full rom (4 / 5 files + pit)

Odin is a utility software developed and used internally by Samsung. It can be used to flash recovery, stock ROM, cook ROM, root, etc. to Samsung Android devices . Odin is also used to handle certain Android devices.

There is no account of Samsung ever officially releasing Odin, although it is mentioned in the developer documentation for the Samsung Knox SDK and some documents even instruct users on using Odin. Some other documentation about the Knox SDK references “engineering firmware,” which could perhaps be part of the Knox SDK along with Odin. The publicly available binaries are believed to be the result of a leak.

Samsung Odin Tool – Flash Firmware / Rom for Samsung Devices

Instruct:

  1. Back up data (videos, photos, messages, contacts,…)
  2. Extract ROM file (zip, rar)
  3. Install Samsung mobile driver : Samsung Android USB Driver for Windows
  4. Download the latest Odin:
  5. Unzip the downloaded Odin file
  6. Run the  Odinv3.14.4.exe file
  7. Boot the phone into  Download Mode  (Currently, new models have different key structures, so the way to return to Download Mode is different)
    • Method 1: Press and hold 3 keys Home + Power + Volume Down , then press Volume Up if required
    • Method 2: Press and hold the 3 keys POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
    • Method 3: Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP keys and connect the USB cable to the computer
    • Method 4: Press and hold the 3 keys POWER + VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP
    • Method 5 (Note9): Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY keys and connect the USB cable to the computer
  8. Connect your phone to the computer
  9. Select the ROM file on Odin as follows: because it is a full file, there are 4 files in total
    • Add the BL_xxx file to BL
    • Add the AP_xxx file to AP
    • Add the CP_xxx file to CP
    • Add the CSC_xxx file to CSC
  10. Select PIT file : select the ” Pit ” tab, click ” PIT ” and select the *.pit file (Note: some new lines have integrated the PIT file into CSC so you can skip this step)
  11. Click  Start  and wait a few minutes until it says PASS is successful.

This is a brand rom… so if you download the rom, you need to determine the following:
+ Combination brand rom is a device testing rom that does not have the effect of fixing hardware errors, but only has the effect of testing active functions or damage. However, Combination has the ability to restore IMEI Number, Baseband or some software errors… but not all!
+ Combination rom is a test rom built by the company. This rom does not have the concept of “HOW HAVE YOU TESTED IT!”
+ Combination Rom when loaded into the device will lose all features… including making calls, playing games, surfing the web, taking photos…
+ Combination Rom is still limited to Bootloader Security, Retaining FRP, RE, EE and Other Security when loaded.
