ROOTING SAMSUNG J7 PRIME (SM-G610F) – ANDROID 7 (UNLOCK)

DOWNLOAD IMPORTANT FILES:

PERFORMING UNLOCK:

  1. Turn on “ OEM unlock ” or “ OEM unlock ” in “ Developer options ”
  2. Copy the root file to the memory card
  3. Turn off the device, put the device into Download Mode (press and hold 3 keys Volume Down + Home + Power )
  4. Connect to computer and flash TWRP using ODIN 3.12.7
  5. Turn off the device, put the device into Recovery mode (press and hold 3 keys Volume Up + Home + Power )
  6. Select WIPE > FORMAT DATA > YES
  7. Select INSTALL ZIP and select the root file  SR3-SuperSU-v2.82-SR3.zip
  8. Restart the computer > DONE

TROUBLESHOOT ISSUE IF ANY:

In case after booting into TWRP, the root file cannot be found (because the partitions cannot be read), the logo hangs on reboot, or you automatically re-enter TWRP, then do the following:

  1. Boot the device into TWRP
  2. Agree to what it asks, when inside, select Advanced > ADB Sideload  > swipe from left to right to enter Sideload mode
  3. Download this ADB.zip version  , unzip it, copy the SR3-SuperSU-v2.82-SR3.zip file into the extracted folder, along with the ADB files
  4. Hold Shift and right click on the white space of the folder, select “ Open command windows here ”
  5. Type in the following command: adb sideload SR3-SuperSU-v2.82-SR3.zip
  6. Wait for it to finish running then select Reboot System
  7. After booting, if you don’t have SuperSU yet , go to CH Play to download and install it.
